Viva la Mexico!

I'm off to Tehuacan, Mexico! I've got all my bags packed (including the ones under my eyes...my fault)! I feel a little like a missionary must feel, scared and sad to go but knowing that it's what is right and what I need to do.

Grandma Blazzard is wonderful and stocked me up with a lifetime supply (or at least 2 months...hopefully) of medicines and Grandpa Blazzard gave me this last bit of advice as I left their house: Always rememember that you can always go to the Lord. Don't just turn to Him when you need help, turn to Him all the time.

Thanks Mom and Dad for being brave, supporting, and loving and letting me go. Don't worry too much about me, I know that Heavenly Father's watching over me every step of the way :) I love you all bunches and bunches!!!

Photo Shoot

I (Meagan) took Kaylee to Wal-Mart to get her pictures taken and she liked some of the more expensive add-ons but we just went with the basic picture. We did a photo shoot at home and I added (or at least tried to add) some extra touches. I really don't know how to work my camera very well so afterwards Kaylee said "Great, we took about 50 pictures and deleted 20 of them!" Ha! Ha! She's right, but I think we took more than 50 and deleted more than 20 :)

Kaylee had very creative picture ideas! Here are a few of them...
She built herself a tent in this one.

Oh no! Not the poisonous apple!

Kaylee (aka Snow White) is waiting for true love's first kiss!

And they all lived happily ever after!

Order Up!

Since Mom and Paige are at science camp Dad took us out to eat! Yum! We went to In-N-Out and got tacos at Jack in the Box.

We love you Dad!!! Thanks!

Happy 11th Birthday Paige!

Hope you had a fun birthday at science camp Paige! We missed you! We can't believe you're 11! I remember when you were a little kid and we called you Mouse and you followed us around everywhere. You're growing up into a wonderful young lady,
we're proud of you!
11 Things We Love About Paige
1. She is a hoot-she's so funny and loves to laugh! What a silly goose!
2. She is Dad's motorcycle babe-she always wants a ride.
3. She loves Huskies and hot cheetos.
4. She can bellydance (no one taught her, she's a natural...really).
5. She has stomachaches every morning (hmm...maybe it's the belly dancing).
6. You haven't lived until you've watched how she DDRs!
7. She really looks up to her older brother and sisters.
8. She eats Tapa Tio and chips with Dad.
9. She loves to dawdle so we call her "Dilly Dally" sometimes.
10. She loves to read blogs and always is up to date.
11.She pretends to sneeze and laughs when you say "Bless you."

And the Award Goes To...

Perfect attendance? Most library books checked out? Nope, definitely not! Last night at her 9th grade awards assembly, Sarah got an award for having a GPA of 3.5 or above for five consecutive semesters. Congratulations Sarah, we're proud of all your hard work!

Mesa's mayor was at the event too and he was a hoot! He said the only award he ever got in junior high was for "best teeth." After it was over, we saw him in the lobby and Allie saluted him and Sarah walked right up and said "Hello Mr. Mayor." Those girls have guts!

Mother's Day

Hope you had a great Mother's Day Mom! Mom, you do a lot of behind the scenes work but don't think that we don't notice.
Love you!
10 Things We Learned From Mom
1. There are some books that you simply can not put down (Mom's really a bookworm but that hasn't rubbed off on all of the kids...yet).
2. Always do what you're asked, even if you don't think you're up to the challenge. Whom the Lord calls, He qualifies.
3. Thrift shopping makes you more excited when you find an amazing deal (Dad says she has neophobia-fear of anything new-but we all know she's just a smart shopper).
4. Food storage-supporting our beds one can at a time...
need we say more :)
5. Country music is great to sing along to (but Mom's always open to listening to new things).
6. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

7. Serving others really makes you feel good inside.
8. You don't have to be a thrill seeker, life throws you its own thrills-Mom's taught 3 of us to drive (and has 3 more to go)!

9. Be brave-Mom's taken us on lots of trips and made them fun...we're just now realizing how half the time she didn't really know how to get where we were going but we had no idea because she always made us feel safe and comfortable.
10. Gardening isn't so much a green thumb as it is patience and persistence.

95.5 KYOT...Well Sort Of

Matt had his jazz concert a couple days ago. He's been playing since 5th grade (he takes after Mom)! He's really good but this is his last year playing in the band, he's moving on to bigger and better things :)

Kaylee's Haircut!!!

Mom cut Kaylee's hair today and Kaylee thinks it's the best ever! She loves her new summer cut, now she won't be as hot.

Our Flutist

Sarah traded in her flute for a volleyball so Paige used the flute this year. She had a band concert yesterday and did a great job! I think my favorite song was "Hickory Dickory Rock."

FHE!!!

Our Family Home Evening (FHE) a couple days ago included playing a crazy game of Scum, learning about being of good cheer (don't forget the "at least" game), and going to Bahama Bucks. Paige isn't too sure she likes the shaved ice at Bahama Bucks so she just got chocolate ice-cream.

Guess what flavor Kaylee got? Yep, that's right! Cherry! It's Kaylee's and Matt's favorite!
The two men of the house finished their treats before everyone (big surprise...not) and played the ring game. Look how focused they are!
"Always remember, your focus determines your reality"
NAME THAT MOVIE
I think Matt won this round.
It's the little things in life that make it so much fun!

The Ultimate Birdwatcher!

Mom and me (Meagan) went to Grandma and Grandpa Blazzard's house a few days ago. I feel like I never get to see a lot of my family since I'm in Utah most of the year so it's always great to visit! We brought our birds with us and Tipper (grandma and grandpa's dog) wouldn't keep his eyes off of them.

Special Olympics

Allie volunteered at the Special Olympics this year at MCC. Sarah, Matt, Meagan, and Paige went to cheer for the athletes. Guess what? At the end, they got free snow cones!

They were all a bit sunburned and tired when it was over, but it sounded like a blast!

CF Walk

The family participated in the Cystic Fibrosis walk on April 25th at Kiwanis Park to support our cousin Maelee (isn't she so cute?). The terrific threesome took a few pictures along the walk.

"What better way to make a grand entrance on the streets of Agrabah, than riding your very own camel...Watch out! It spits!" NAME THAT MOVIE

Check out these great sister pictures we took while we were there! Mom and her sister Sharon, and then a picture of all the Cluff sisters.

1 Semester Down, 2 More to Go!

I finished another semester at BYU so naturally I'm jumping for joy! I'm one year away from graduation! Just like every semester, I was pushed to the limit but learned a lot! Mother Nature threw in a few surprises...like snow in April! Poor little daffodils!

Spring (my favorite season!) is well under way now. Look how beautiful campus looked when I left for Arizona! I'm home now, waiting for clearance to go to Mexico. The swine flu has delayed my trip so I'm just enjoying the extra time with my family:)
