1 Semester Down, 2 More to Go!

I finished another semester at BYU so naturally I'm jumping for joy! I'm one year away from graduation! Just like every semester, I was pushed to the limit but learned a lot! Mother Nature threw in a few surprises...like snow in April! Poor little daffodils!

Spring (my favorite season!) is well under way now. Look how beautiful campus looked when I left for Arizona! I'm home now, waiting for clearance to go to Mexico. The swine flu has delayed my trip so I'm just enjoying the extra time with my family:)

General Conference Weekend

Thanks to Dad, I had tickets for General Conference! Thanks Dad!!! Grandpa Bill and Dad came up for Jenny's wedding and Grandpa Bill stayed for conference too so I got to spend the weekend with him. We stayed on Temple Square all day on Saturday and Sunday and watched conference in the Conference Center or the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. We dined on the hotel's continental breakfast, juggled umbrellas in the rain, ate delicious tacos from a little taco stand, and ran into Courtney while we were there. What a great weekend!

Fabulous Fishing Fun

What can you do with an old glove, a set of car keys and a hot dog? Have the most fun a person can have that's what! Today we went to an Easter party at my parent's house and then Sarah, Paige, Kaylee and I headed to our favorite pond to do a little fishing. If you have never been fishing you are really missing out!

My parents used to take me fishing at a pond in Tempe all of the time when I was growing up and now I get to take my children too. Even though the kids like to fish, nobody likes fishing at this pond more than me. Today was a good day and the fish did not disappoint us. We probably caught about 15 fish in the 45 minutes that we were at the park. And that is not a fish story, it is the truth!

So, are you wondering what we do with the glove, the car keys and the hot dog? Let me explain. The hot dog is what we use for bait and the fish love it! Thankfully all of my kids are old enough not to eat the bait hot dog anymore. When they were little I used to look over and see them eating out of the same bag that we had been getting into with our nasty, fish hands.The old glove is what I use to hold the fish so it doesn't flop all over while I am taking the hook out of its mouth before I throw it (the fish) back into the water. We Cluff's are humane you know. The car keys are what I use to perform fish surgery when an occasional fish swallows the hook instead of getting it caught in its lip. I don't like to brag, but I am pretty good at fish surgery and I haven't lost a patient in years. That is a little known life skill that really comes in handy.

Happy 15th Birthday Sarah!

On March 21, 1994 a cute little girl named Sarah was born to the Cluff family (no Matt, don't say "What happened?" She is still just as cute as when she was a baby...in fact she's even cuter!).

We can't believe she turned 15 today!!!

Here are 15 things we love about Sarah...

1. She always looks and smells great...boys beware, she's not 16 yet!

2. She is an amazing volleyball player

3. She can definitely make you laugh

4. She'll tell you exactly what she thinks

5. She loves spending time with friends

6. She always has a good story to tell

7. She quotes movies like no other

8. She likes hot cheetos and never gets sick of them (last year she got a huge box full of hot cheetos for her birthday and she ate every last one within a few weeks!)

9. She likes to hang out with Matt and Allie and go on late night slurpee runs

10. She gets a lot of teasing from the family, but she can hold her own

11. She is not really a girlie girl and not really a tomboy, she's BOTH!

12. She loves lots of different kinds of music

13. She has a great bed but always chooses to sleep on the couch (could be because she loves watching movies so much...hmmm)

14. She is very smart and taking lots of advanced classes this year

15. She is a great sister and friend...what would we do without you?????

The list could go on and on, who can stop at 15 when they have such a fun, amazing, and gorgeous person to write about!

Love You Allie!

Allie came up to visit me this past week during her Spring Break. It was wonderful to have her up here! She was a "super trooper" and came to school with me every day. She helped ten tons in the classroom and was great with the kids! We did fun stuff after school and took lots of naps (those 1st graders can wear you out!) I saw BYU through her eyes and...even I have to admit that we BYUers are a bit on the strange side! I'm so glad she came to visit!

Just Me And My Dad!

Today is my Dad, Max Blazzard's, 84th birthday. He was born in Thatcher, Arizona, in 1925 and boy, can he tell some really good stories about things he has experienced in his life. My sister, Sharon, and I decided to go and spend the day with our Dad to hear some of those amazing stories and to wish him a Happy Birthday. Well, when we got to his house he had received a birthday gift that required some assembly. As you can see in the picture he got an automatic garden hose winder. I'll let you in on a little secret, there is absolutely nothing automatic with an automatic garden hose winder.

We spent 2 and 1/2 hours trying to assemble that thing and I laughed harder than I have in a long time. Moral to this story: If there is someone in this world that you really don't like and want to cause them excruciating emotional pain, go to your nearest garden center and buy them an automatic garden hose winder, then sit back and watch. Happy Birthday Dad, we love you!

College Makes You Crazy!

As part of my schooling, I am in a 1st grade class all day everyday for the whole month of March. I've got lots to learn but my mentor teacher gives me lots and lots of opportunities to teach! Our ward talent show was today, so I went from crazy teacher mode to a different kind of crazy mode. Dad, you'd be proud...me and some friends lip synced to "Super Trooper" by Abba.
