Don`t I take some great pictures?? July 10-14 we rented a van and vacationed in Chiapas. We stayed in hostels along the way and visited Villa Hermosa, Aguas Azules, Palenque, San Cristobal, and Tuxtla. We got to go to two temples and church on our vacation too, it was great! Wow! There are so many amazing people and places in this world!

Born To Be...............Moderately Conservative!

Isn't this scenery beautiful? Richard and his brother,Robert and his Dad, Bill, just got back from 8 days in Colorado.

Here they are looking relaxed and having fun. They set off on their motorcycles July 3rd and came back July 10th. They had a great time and will remember this trip forever!

The worst thing that happened to Richard was a bee sting on the first day. The bee stung him just above his wrist, while he was riding. Crazy! How did that happen when he was wearing a long sleeve shirt, jeans, boots, riding gloves and a helmet?

These are our friends Clay and Nannette Jones that let the guys stay with them in Colorado Springs. Clay took them on lots of fun rides through Colorado and filmed all of these beautiful pictures. Thanks for helping them have so much fun!

Secret Wish

Strange, but true. Although these first two pictures are of Kaylee, she is just acting out the secret wish that Paige has had for a looooooong time now. What is it you may ask?

Well.......Paige has always wanted to have crutches and has wondered what it would be like to walk on them. Weird, huh? Well, this summer when we were shopping at one of our favorite stores (Savers), we found a brand new pair of kid-size crutches for just $2.99. We decided that for that price Paige could have her wish at last. The girls have had a lot of fun walking on those crutches, but have come to the conclusion that they are glad they don't really need them or have to use them all of the time. What's your secret wish?

This One's For You Meg!

This is a picture of Meg's BYU roommate, Courtney. Allie and I promised Meg that we would go to her reception since Meagan couldn't be there herself. Here's the proof Meg! It was really great and Courtney looked beautiful. However, Goodyear is 52 miles away from where we live and we were feeling a little sick from all of those slurpees that we drank earlier in the day. But, we were happy to do it (even if this post does sound a little whiny) and we love you Courtney and Meagan!

Cluff Holiday Was Slurpalicious!

July 11 is a much anticipated day in the Cluff household. Why, because you can have all of the free slurpees at 7-11 that you can drink.

We only go to 7-11 once a year and so it is easy to see why Allie got a little sidetracked on our free slurpee quest.

How many 7-11 stores did we go to? Five! Boy, were those slurpees delicious! Richard doesn't understand why we would drive all over when we could just buy one big slurpee (did we mention that each free slurpee is exactly 7.11 ounces?) and save all of the money that we spend on gas from driving all over town. You really can't explain 7-11 day, you just have to experience it!

How Does Our Garden Grow?

Sunflowers are looking good.

Zinnias are hanging in there.

Marigolds are doing great. BUT.....when it comes to vegetables............

we just don't have what it takes. What are you talking about you may ask? This cantaloupe looks perfectly good.

This picture is fuzzy, but your eyes are not deceiving you, our cantaloupe really was half the size of our salt shaker. Feel free to post any advice you may have for us.

Here's The (S)coop!

I'm telling this story backwards because I wanted this picture to be last, but oh well, you will just have to try and follow. This is the amazing chicken coop that Richard and Matt built for us. They still plan on adding nesting boxes, but we think it is wonderful. Shame on any of you skeptics that said we should buy a coop and that they would never have the time to build us one.

Our neighbors went out of town this past weekend and asked us to babysit their cute little baby chick, Lucky Nellie! Paige and Kaylee had so much fun with her. They even considered trying to dress her up in some troll doll clothes that were in the toy box.

This is a close-up of Nellie. She sure did love to follow the kids around all day and she made a lot of noise when they put her in the laundry room to sleep each night and she couldn't be with them.

We have already spent the good part of the summer looking at this catalog and trying to decide which breed of chicks we want. Now we understand what Prophet Monson and Prophet Hinckley were talking about when they talked about getting so excited over catalogs at Christmastime when they were young.
